My Why.
I decided to run for the City Commission because when I went to the Commission meetings, I sat and listened...and listened…but not once did I hear our commissioners actually address the problems we face. Every day, more and more people are facing real threats to their livelihoods. Whether it's mental health crises, eviction notices, hunger, or crippling debt, we are all facing something right now. Unfortunately, it feels as if no one gives a damn about us or our lives. Well, I do, that's why I'm running.
